Watch the crystals grow — optical or AI-based.
A vacuum pan microscope is an essential instrument for monitoring crystal growth in sugar and anhydrous dextrose crystallizers. It allows operators to observe the size, shape, and development of crystals during the crystallization process, helping to maintain consistent product quality.
The microscope can be supplied as a conventional optical system for manual observation or, from early 2027, as a new automated digital imaging system incorporating AI technology. The AI-based system will enable automated monitoring and analysis of crystal growth, including crystal size, shape and development, providing improved process control, more consistent crystallization results, and valuable process data for optimization
